The following are just a few of the benefits and experiences
that you will encounter at ILTC '99

Leadership "How-To's"
  • There will be a variety of "How-To" sessions that you will be able to choose from over the course of the three weeks. These electives are based on what your Godolim and N'siot see as being hte most important skills needed in leaders.
  • The "How-To" sessions will not stop in the classroom though: you will learn how to do something, and then be able to test your skills.
    • For example, a "How-To" on counterpart training will take place, but to practice and apply what you've learned, you will go over to CLTC and run your program for them. Afterwards, you will be able to evaluate the program in order to ensure success when you take it back to your chater/council/region/district.

Camp-wide Programs
  • Groups will have the opportunity to plan a camp-wide program covering one of the folds or thrusts. As a group, you will go through all the steps of program planning to produce a program not only to put on for the entire camp, but for you to take home to your respective chapter/council/region/districts.

Dorm Camping Trips
  • Each dorm will have the opportunity to go on a one-night, two day camping experience.
    • Imagine this: chilling around the camp fire with your awesome leadership staff, one of the knowledgeable Rabbis, a trained camping specialist, and your close friends talking about Judaism, leadership, yourself, the world around you, and how it all relates!

Returning Home
  • After your completion of ILTC, you will be able to return home with complete resources to turn to when you need help in your chapter/council/region/district.
  • Each session at ILTC will create a booklet or a help guide so when you come across the same problem at home, you'll know how to attack it.

Judaism and ILTC
  • This program is not a focus on Judaism, but rather a focus on Jewish Leadership ... so what's the difference? Jewish leadership is the skills, ideas, and the values to be a leader within our chapters, regions, and greater communitiees, all within the concept of Tikun Olam (repairing the world). Leadership isn't just pamphlets and seminars, but it's the way you act and hold yourself and teach those around you.
  • You'll get this through Judaic electives, special Shabbat programming, and the combination of Judaic and Leadership staff within all programming.

The skills power and willingness all lies in you. It's three weeks and what you make of it, but we're both confident that you will return home with the confidence and ability to make things happen.

If you have any questions or comments, we're more than happy to hear from you. Don't hesitate to give us a call. We look forward to seeing you at ILTC.
